Personal Statement: |
My ethics, morals and values are based on conservative Christian teachings, which have been a part of my life since early childhood. I place a high value on honesty, integrity, loyalty and commitment. I was raised near Shreveport, Louisiana in a middle class family and, since early childhood, have had an eye for detail, an appreciation for a neat, clean home and a hard work ethic instilled in me by my parents. I tend to take charge when I know how to complete a project and I have a natural desire to please others. I communicate in an articulate, clear manner with kindness and courtesy, and consider rudeness unnecessary and unbecoming. I prefer low-keyed personalities who require excellence. I function best in a formal setting but adapt easily to a casual, relaxed atmosphere. s a retired CPA and Management Search Consultant with a Masters Degree in Accounting, most of my career goals have been met while gaining administrative and managerial skills and getting to know a lot about people. While living alone for ten years after my son left for college, I became a meticulous housekeeper and learned to cook well. Although I tend to be modest about my culinary skills, my friends say I am an excellent Southern Style cook. I gained an appreciation of fine gardening from my sister, and have quadrupled the size of my informal gardening beds over the last eight years to create an inviting setting, greatly complemented by all who have seen my handiwork. I enjoy organizing entertaining events, both large and small and have participated in numerous fund raising activities through my church and other cultural groups in Dallas. I have been described as mature, professional, even-tempered, conservative, well groomed, dependable, loyal, refined, dignified, patient and genteel. I consider myself a Southern gentleman with a touch of class and an appreciation for the finer things in life. The Old Guard relationship style suits me very well. |
