Personal Statement: |
I consider integrity, loyalty, and discretion to be my strongest values. Honoring one’s word, being respectful, and cultivating solid relationships goes a long way in establishing trust with others. I define success as the ability to juggle the aspects of one’s life in a balanced way. For me, that means cultivating a relationship with my principle and other colleagues that is conducive to a long term commitment. I feel most fulfilled when I oversee and support a high level of personal service within the home. At the same time, I value my personal time and strive to ensure strong connections with my husband and two daughters. I grew up in New Hampshire with my parents and younger sister. My father is a dentist and has always run his own practice. My mother stayed home with my sister and me until I was fourteen. She went back to work at that time as my father’s office manager. My maternal grandparents owned their own contracting/real estate business, and my passion for service and high standard level comes from watching them over the years. I believe the first time I knew I was right for service was at 4 ½ years old. My sister was born, and I have very clear memories of taking care of her. My service heart was nurtured from that point on through my involvement with the equestrian world, owning and training two show dogs, and working in veterinary hospitals throughout my high school and college years. Today I am a Household Manager who is comfortable in a fast paced environment. I work well in cultures that tend to be intense, structured, or more formal. However, I can adjust to suit the needs of the environment whether it is business/corporate, busy/active, family-centered, pet-centered, or any combination of the above. My style tends to be business like and professional, yet I am ready to be flexible and hands-on with my duties depending on the overall service needs of my principle. While providing service encompasses a wide variety of standards, my top four Service Standards are Clothing and Valet, Administrative, Housekeeping and Entertainment. Clothing and Valet Standards are responsibilities that are very important to me. I enjoy taking care of my Principal’s wardrobe, which includes clothing care and closet organization. I feel a sense of pride when my Principal leaves the house after careful consideration of his/her wardrobe. I absolutely love administrative responsibilities. I have been involved in administrative work since the age of eleven when I was given a job in my father’s dental office; and later, in my executive assistant and household manager duties. My goal is to ensure the smooth operation of a household so my Principals can concentrate on what is most important to them. Upholding my Principal’s Service Vision through developing systems, monitoring financials, supporting the household calendar, and supporting the staff gives me a real sense of purpose. Being highly detail oriented makes me happy, which I find in housekeeping and entertainment. I enjoy a very clean, pleasant to the eye environment, and the entire process of creating an entertainment experience for my Principal allows me to feel valued. I am an east coast, get the job done, professional style of service, and greatly look forward to the opportunity to again serve! |
