Personal Statement:

I was born in Fort Worth, Texas and I’m the third of four children.  I have two older sisters and a younger brother.  I was raised in a military family where following the rules, discipline, and order was the norm.  I grew up all over the world.  I’ve lived in several places, but I truly enjoyed living in Texas, England, and Taiwan.  My mother and father met at a location in Florida where they were both Air Force professionals.  My father retired from the Air Force and the Dallas/Fort Worth airport.  He has never let grass grow under his feet and he still keeps pretty active.  He’s now a realtor and I think I get my drive for life from him.  My mother was mostly a stay at home parent.  She occasionally worked outside the home in retail and in the hospital career field.  I know she enjoys helping people.  She does volunteer work now and I feel I get my service heart from her.  I believe I’ve always had a service heart.  When I was young I remember always wanting to help people.  My mother reminded me when I was three and my brother was two years old I would help him get dressed and feed him.  I enjoy helping people.  The satisfaction I receive knowing I played a part in meeting the needs of another is incredible.

I have very strong morals, values, and ethics.  I believe my word is my bond.  If I say I’m going to do something I do it.  I believe in being accountable.  Having integrity is a very important part of who I am.  My parents taught me to have integrity.  I’ve carried that knowledge with me my entire life. It served me well twenty years in the Air Force, six years as a Flight Attendant with United Airlines, and in my own business. People trust you when you have integrity.  I also have a strong work ethic and a no-nonsense approach to getting the job done.  I won’t leave until all the work is complete.  I believe anything worth having is worth working hard for.

I am very detailed, structured, and driven.  I can be casual when appropriate.  I have the ability to be hands on or outsource when needed.  My communication style is direct and to the point when it comes to business.  My tone is always very professional.  When the situation allows I can be light hearted and humorous, but in a work environment I always maintain respect and professionalism.  I am able to adapt easily to my surroundings and the flow of whatever environment I am in.  Because of the many places I’ve lived and traveled to I’ve been able to find the beauty in every place.

My top four standards are Administrative, Entertainment, Housekeeping, and Culinary.  Administrative because I was raised in a structured home and that’s where I received my natural aptitude of order.  I have an eye for detail and it was honed during my 20 years in the Air Force working in Finance and supporting my General.  Entertainment is a top standard because I’ve owned my own successful Event planning and personal concierge company for several years.  I’ve organized hundreds of events and parties.  I have been cleaning homes for the past 43 years.  Housekeeping comes naturally to me.  My mother taught my siblings and me to cook and clean at a young age.  I learned there was a place for everything and everything has a place.  I love to cook and have hosted many dinners over the years where I planned, prepped, and prepared all of the meals.  I’ve received kudos for my fresh and healthy cooking style.
