Personal Statement:

Since 1991, I have worked in private homes as a Private Chef and as a Nanny Manager. I was ready to take on additional responsibilities as a professional Household Manager. “I believe in flying under the radar”. “It can be a challenge to be in someone else’s home and manage without taking over. The key for me is to always remember that I am here to serve.”

Born in Warsaw, New York, I actually spent my childhood on the East Coast, Texas, Indiana and Germany. “My father joined the army shortly after I was born. In his twenty-two years in the military, we often lived on military bases, sometimes attending their schools and other times Catholic schools.” “I have three sisters, one older and two younger. I believe moving a lot allowed me to develop a high level of adaptability. Our constant was each other, my family. With a frequent rotation of schools, towns, houses, and friends, our security came from our very grounded parents and stable family unit.”

I also learned the joy of helping others from my family. “We all seem to have a service heart in my family.” “For myself, two things showed me I was right for service. At twelve, I took a Red Cross babysitting class, and babysat for a family with four children for several summers and on weekends. I also started cooking for my family several nights a week, giving my mom a chance to relax when she got home from work. I loved making dinner and trying new things, and I challenged myself to never make chicken the same way twice.”

While I love working with children, I have focused the majority of my career to the culinary arts. In 1992, I started my own private chef business for several families in Minnesota and New Hampshire, creating meals in their homes from meal planning to spotlessly cleaning the kitchen. Always committed to learning and expanding my skills, I earned my Culinary degree in 1999.

In 2006, I became a Certified Household Manager through Starkey International. Having worked in both formal and informal homes, invisible service and adapting to the household are my specialties. I have a straightforward communication style, giving my principals the quiet assurance that everything will be taken care of with a smile.
