Her customer service philosophy is driven by passion and the ability to create a luxurious experience. Ms. Bullock’s leadership within the service industry is an extension of her personal values, which are honesty, integrity, quality and excellence.


William Althoff

Mr. Althoff has an easy, gentle style of teaching with genuine laughter and a natural ability to reach all students. As an educator and a mentor, it is Mr. Althoff's mission to pass his 20 years of service and culinary knowledge at the White House and Vice President’s Residence to the next generation of service professionals, and to empower them to find their own bliss. His specialties include Private Culinary, Service Leadership, Professional Boundaries, and Entertaining.

Mark Thulis

Starkey’s Private Training Instructor
Following a 21-year career in the United States Navy, Mr. Mark Thulis was positioned as the first U.S. Chief of Protocol in the Middle East stationed in Manama, Bahrain. He then took an assignment as the U.S. Army’s Chief of Protocol in Europe located in Heidelberg, Germany, followed by Director of United States Marine Corps Protocol in the Pentagon, Washington, DC. His private service experience includes managing the operations of an exclusive private island boutique resort in the South Pacific. Mr. Thulis speaks English, Italian, Arabic, French and German. In addition, Mr. Thulis excels at coaching others in Executive Administration, gracious service, fine Clothing Care, and Dressing for Success.

Ms. Lucia Miltenberger

Starkey’s Wine and Mixology Instructor
Ms. Miltenberger presents the finest in wine, and wine service education. In charge of wine education at Starkey, she holds a Master’s Degree in Education and has twenty years in teaching and catering experience specializing in private clubs. Her students are in awe of her vast experience and her ability to clearly and easily share her knowledge. Ms. Miltenberger has dedicated her life to sharing her love of wines.

Barry Wilson

Starkey’s Executive Protection and Estate Security Management Instructor
Mr. Wilson, an expert in personal security is a thoughtful and wise man. When asked why he is so committed to security as a profession, he immediately replies, “To protect the innocent.” He holds a Certification as an Executive Protection Specialist, and is an instructor at Aspen’s acclaimed ESI Executive Security Institute. He has developed, with Starkey, a specialized Estate Security Plans for Private Service. He is a favorite personality with students sharing Safety and Protection knowledge, and using their handwriting samples to identify their psychological gifts and hidden talents.
